On Monday, during a parliamentary commission hearing to determine if he was a fit for the top court, he was asked whether the death penalty should be applied in cases of rape. His response?

“Consideration needs to be taken thoroughly for the imposition of death penalty for a rapist because in a rape case both the rapist and the victim enjoy it.”

This actually makes me sick to my stomach.

People obviously aren’t opposed to the murder of “lower lifeforms,” so how is it that this creature has made it so far in the political world?

Thank you rape culture, and this is why I won’t fucking be here for “consenting” rapey shit in dramas, porn, my bedroom, ect. Because dudes don’t and won’t ever see a difference between that and rape, and whether you think so or not this kind of shit in our media is a direct contributor to this kind of mindset. You consenting to pretending to be raped and saying you enjoy it, or asking a man to handle you roughly during sex and ignore your “no” on purpose gives him and other men permission to do that to women who are not consenting and makes them think we like to be raped. 

YES that is a huge problem with porn and why “just in my bedroom” is not a good argument. Because those men will be in other women’s bedrooms. I wouldn’t say it gives men permission, but it certainly leads men to think that consensual nonconsent and shit they see is porn is just forceful sex that women enjoy. That’s what most men I know think of rape. That’s how they can argue rape’s “not that bad”
